Connect Namecheap MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect Namecheap to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Audit team-wide DNS configurations
The `get_dns_hosts` tool lets your engineering team read live Namecheap DNS configurations directly inside VS Code. When a developer needs to verify a TXT record for domain validation, they ask Copilot. If an update is required, your agent uses `set_dns_hosts` to write the new records via the MCP Server. Since this command replaces the entire zone, Copilot pulls the existing list first, adds the new entry, and pushes the complete array back.
Inspect infrastructure state
Use `get_domains` to pull your organization's entire Namecheap portfolio into your chat window. Copilot reads the IDs, creation dates, and lock statuses to help you audit your infrastructure. You can drill down into specific routing setups using `get_domain_info` and `get_domain_ns_info`. This gives your AI client the exact nameserver configuration, letting you debug routing issues without switching to a browser.
Track SSL and account balances
The `get_ssl_certs` tool returns the expiration dates and types of every certificate in your account. You ask the server for a summary, and it flags anything expiring soon. Your team can also run `get_balance` to check the available USD in the corporate account before triggering automated renewals. You keep tabs on both security and budget from the IDE.
