Generate Live Employee Directories
Cline doesn't just fetch your Namely data; it builds the frontend for it. Tell Cline to write a directory component inside VS Code, and it will call `list_profiles` and `list_jobs` to populate the UI with actual employee details. It writes the React or Vue code, imports the live Namely data, and runs local tests to verify the integration. You get a working directory dashboard built on real-time HR data without writing a single line of boilerplate in Cline.
Sync Custom Fields with Local Codebases
Keeping your local database models in sync with Namely custom fields is usually a nightmare. This MCP Server lets Cline run `list_fields` to see exactly what custom data points your HR team has set up in Namely. Cline reads that Namely schema and automatically updates your TypeScript interfaces or database migrations in VS Code. It bridges the gap between your live HR system and your codebase with zero manual copy-pasting.
Build Automated Anniversary Trackers in Cline
Let Cline write and test a Slack bot or notification service that monitors Namely team milestones. By querying `list_events` and `get_profile` using the Namely MCP Server, Cline collects upcoming milestones and maps them to specific employee records. It writes the cron job, mocks the test cases, and packages the service inside your workspace. You end up with a fully functional milestone tracker connected to live Namely data, created entirely by Cline.
