How to Use the Namely MCP in Cursor
Write code with live HR context in Cursor. Pull Namely data directly into your editor's agent mode for smarter build decisions.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Namely MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Namely to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject Namely data into Cursor
Feed live employee context into your code with `get_profile` and `list_profiles`. The AI uses actual API responses to help you write scripts that respect your current org structure. No more stubbing data. You get the real output from your HRIS during your coding sessions.
Query Namely teams in Cursor
Map out your engineering departments by using `list_teams` and `list_groups`. This gives the AI the context it needs to understand team dependencies while you build features. It saves time you would otherwise spend context-switching. You keep your focus on the code while the agent handles the data retrieval.
Access job info via Namely MCP Server
Use `list_jobs` to verify role requirements and titles while you draft internal tools. Your agent pulls this information in real-time as you write. This keeps your technical documentation accurate. It bridges the gap between your HR data and your codebase.
