Connect Neon (Serverless PostgreSQL) MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Neon (Serverless PostgreSQL) to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Zero-Context Dev Starts
Start your day by telling Cline, "Create a test database for ticket #JIRA-123." Cline hits the Neon MCP Server, runs `create_branch` to clone your main database instantly, and drops the new connection string right into your chat. You're ready to code in seconds. No more waiting for DevOps or messing with complex provisioning scripts. Cline handles the database setup so you can focus on the code.
Build and Test with Cline
This is where Cline connects everything. Give it a real task: "Build a user settings page using a clean copy of the production DB." Cline plans and executes the whole job. It starts by calling `create_branch` to get an isolated database clone. Then, it writes the front-end component, scaffolds the API endpoint, and even writes tests that run against that new, isolated branch. It's a complete, end-to-end workflow executed by your agent, right inside VS Code.
Manage Neon Resources from your Editor
You don't need to open another browser tab to check your database infrastructure. Just ask Cline directly: "How many active branches are running for the main project?" It'll use `list_branches` and `list_endpoints` to give you a straight answer. Need to tear down a temporary environment? Tell Cline, "Delete the `temp-qa-demo` project." It will confirm the action, then run `delete_project` to wipe it. It's direct infrastructure control, using plain language.
