Build trading scripts using Cline and NetEase BUFF
The `get_market_items` tool allows Cline to look up active skin listings and feed real-time pricing data directly into your local workspace. The agent uses this data to write, test, and debug custom trading algorithms right inside your IDE. By calling `get_price_history`, Cline analyzes long-term market trends to establish baseline prices. It writes these reference values into your local database, giving your trading scripts a solid foundation for automated decision-making.
Execute live trades with this VS Code MCP Server
The `create_buy_order` tool lets Cline place immediate bids on items that match your target criteria. Instead of just writing code, Cline runs the execution loop directly, placing orders and verifying their status in real-time. If a trade stalls or the market moves against you, Cline invokes `cancel_order` to protect your funds. This end-to-end execution means you can test and run trading strategies without leaving your editor.
Sync and track your Steam inventory values
The `get_user_inventory` tool fetches the current state of your Steam and BUFF backpacks to verify item availability. Cline uses this data to build inventory dashboards and calculate the total liquidation value of your skins. To ensure you are trading with fresh data, Cline calls `sync_inventory` to force a refresh of your Steam backpack. This prevents the agent from attempting to list or trade items that are currently locked or already sold.
