Build Live Feeds Directly in Cline
`get_top_headlines` gives Cline immediate access to breaking stories across the globe. The coding agent uses this tool to grab live JSON payloads, draft your frontend components, and map real-time headline data to your UI without needing placeholder text. Since Cline operates autonomously, it doesn't just show you the raw data. It creates the files, writes the React or Vue integration, and tests the feed rendering with actual breaking news.
Filter 150,000 Sources with this MCP Server
`list_sources` provides Cline with a clean list of active publishers to target. This MCP Server acts as your gateway, letting the agent identify specific media outlets, ensuring your application queries only trusted financial or tech publications instead of a massive firehose of noise. Cline reads this list, updates your local configuration files, and sets up targeted API calls. It handles the entire configuration pipeline in VS Code while you watch the diff.
Execute Complex Boolean Queries in Cline
`search_everything` lets Cline run advanced searches across millions of historical articles using operators like AND, OR, and NOT. The agent builds precise query strings to find highly specific historical events and imports the relevant article metadata right into your workspace. Instead of you manually searching the web, Cline pulls the exact stories, saves them as JSON, and writes unit tests to verify your search filters work perfectly.
