Connect NewsCatcher MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect NewsCatcher to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build data pipelines in Cursor with live news
Stop writing code against stale mock data. This NewsCatcher MCP Server allows your Cursor agent to execute `search_news` and pull real-time JSON payloads directly into your active editor. The Cursor agent takes the live NewsCatcher API response and instantly generates matching TypeScript types or database schemas. It eliminates the guesswork of integration because your editor sees the exact structure of the incoming news data.
Track breaking events inside Cursor Agent Mode
When debugging NewsCatcher news feed ingestion, you need to see what the API is actually returning inside Cursor. Use `get_latest_news` in Cursor's chat to inspect recent articles and verify that your application's filtering logic behaves as expected. This hands-on loop means you don't have to jump back and forth between Cursor and an external news API client. You can diagnose payload issues and patch your code in a single, continuous session.
Inspect semantic story clusters programmatically
Call `get_news_clusters` to let Cursor analyze how stories are grouped by the NewsCatcher API. Analyzing this clustering metadata makes it easy to build recommendation engines or trend-tracking features. By querying `list_sources` alongside these clusters, you can map out publisher patterns directly in your Cursor workspace. Your editor gets the exact context needed to write smart sorting algorithms without leaving your workspace.
