How to Use the Nifty MCP in Cline
Turn Cline into a project manager that reads your Nifty board and writes the code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Nifty MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Nifty to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Let Cline read your Nifty MCP Server data
The `search_all_tasks` tool gives your VS Code agent direct access to your issue tracker. You tell Cline to fix the latest reported bug. It searches the workspace, finds the exact ticket, and pulls the reproduction steps. From there, it uses `get_task_info` to read the attached error logs. Cline does not just show you the issue. It opens the relevant files, writes the patch, and runs the tests to prove it works.
Map out sprints from your terminal
The `list_active_projects` and `list_workflow_tasks` tools allow your agent to understand your entire development roadmap. Cline fetches your current sprint board and identifies which components need to be built next. If it notices a missing dependency for a feature, it can trigger `create_new_task` to document the blocker. You get a coding assistant that actively manages its own workload within your existing project structure.
Automate your ticket management
The `mark_task_as_complete` tool removes the friction of updating project boards. When Cline finishes a feature and you approve the diff, it fires an API call to close the related issue. It can also hit `update_task_metadata` to log the specific commit hashes or pull request links into the ticket. Your team always sees exactly what changed without you writing a single status update.
