Write application code in Cursor using live schema and cluster metadata from your OceanBase database.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect OceanBase MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect OceanBase to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject OceanBase schema details directly into Cursor
The `list_databases` tool allows Cursor to pull your actual OceanBase database schemas directly into your active coding session. The editor's agent reads the current OceanBase database structure so it can write accurate SQL queries for your application. This eliminates the need to manually copy OceanBase table definitions into Cursor or guess column names. Cursor uses `get_tenant_details` to ensure the generated code targets the correct OceanBase database environment.
Verify target environments with this MCP Server
This MCP Server implements `list_instances` to let Cursor check which OceanBase database instances are active before you deploy your code. Your Cursor AI coding agent verifies that your local configuration matches the live OceanBase infrastructure. By calling `get_instance_details`, Cursor flags mismatches between your local database client settings and the actual OceanBase deployment. It keeps your Cursor development environment aligned with your staging and production OceanBase setups.
Map database workspaces to active codebases
The `list_projects` tool gives Cursor immediate access to the projects defined inside your OceanBase database account. The Cursor agent links your active workspace to specific OceanBase infrastructure resources without forcing you to open a browser tab. Running `get_workspaces` alongside these project lists helps Cursor understand the boundary of your OceanBase database environment. You get a clear, developer-focused view of your distributed OceanBase database topology right inside the Cursor editor sidebar.
