Key Capabilities

Context-rich billing audits with Gemini

Gemini models can ingest millions of tokens of context, making them perfect for auditing long-term accounts. The Google ADK lets your agent pull years of subscription history using `list_subscriptions` and `list_transactions` directly into the prompt window. The agent can then spot billing anomalies or compute customer lifetime value without hitting rate limits. Because the ADK handles tool execution natively, your agent can loop through multiple billing pages using `list_billing_invoices`. It matches this live data against your BigQuery warehouse tables to find discrepancies in real time.

Sync cloud data with this MCP Server

Enterprise billing data shouldn't live in a silo. By hooking this MCP Server up to your Google ADK pipelines, you can build agents that reconcile Google Cloud marketplace charges with Recurly billing. The agent calls `get_revenue_summary` to match export dates with your internal database records. You can run this setup on your Google Cloud infrastructure using standard HTTP transport. The agent automatically discovers tools like `get_account_details` and links them to your active Vertex AI pipelines.

Automated enterprise account provisioning

When a new enterprise client signs a contract, your agent can handle the setup. The Google ADK allows the agent to call `create_billing_account` and immediately assign them to a plan with `list_subscription_plans`. This reduces manual data entry for your sales operations team. If the account setup requires custom discounts, the agent queries `list_coupons` to find approved deals. It then applies the correct code and verifies the subscription state using `get_subscription_details` before sending the final confirmation.

Setup guide

Set up Recurly MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Recurly tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Recurly_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Recurly tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Recurly MCP in Google ADK

Instantiate the McpToolset with your Vinkius HTTP server parameters and pass it to the tools list of your LlmAgent. The Gemini model will automatically detect tools like `list_subscriptions` and call them as needed.
Yes, you can use the optional tool_names filter when initializing your toolset. This lets you restrict your Gemini agent to read-only actions like `get_invoice` while hiding creation tools.
It does. While Stdio works well for local testing, the StreamableHttpServerParameters configuration is recommended for production deployments on Cloud Run or GKE.
You can write a custom tool that queries BigQuery, then let your agent use `get_account_details` to pull live billing data. The Gemini model handles comparing the two datasets and flags any mismatches.
Vinkius manages your API credentials inside a zero-trust, ephemeral MCP sandbox. Your Gemini agent only receives the validated JSON outputs of tools, keeping your master keys hidden.
