Debating Publication Strategy

Imagine two agents: a 'Marketing Agent' and an 'Analytics Agent.' The Marketing Agent calls `get_account_details` to check for upcoming campaigns. The Analytics Agent checks `list_episodes` for completion status. They debate the timing, negotiating whether the episode should be published immediately using `publish_episode`, or if it needs one more revision via `update_episode`. This is consensus-driven decision making.

Conflict Management in Content Archiving

One agent detects an old, unused show ID using `list_shows`. A second agent challenges this by calling `get_show` to verify the show's current status. They then debate whether to archive it or delete it via `delete_episode`. The system doesn't just run a command; it forces a negotiation between competing content preservation goals.

Autonomous Subscriber Onboarding Decisions

An agent identifies new users using `list_subscribers`. A second, 'Policy Agent,' reviews the account details (`get_account_details`) and decides if a mass message is appropriate. The agents debate the best method for onboarding. The process runs from identifying the list of subscribers to deciding on the action via `add_subscriber`.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Transistor.fm tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Transistor.fm_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Transistor.fm data")

Common questions about Transistor.fm MCP in AutoGen

You set up two agents: one calls `get_episode`, and the other reviews the data for completeness. They debate if the retrieved details are sufficient, ensuring quality control before proceeding.
Yes. One agent checks `list_episodes` to find candidates for updates, while another calls `update_episode`. They negotiate the precise content changes required to meet the desired outcome.
The server provides a list of subscribers via `list_subscribers`. Your agents can use this list and debate who should receive promotional messages, making the process highly deliberative.
You use `list_shows` to get all show IDs. The agents then collaboratively analyze this list against current account goals before determining which shows need attention.
This MCP Server exposes private user records through the `list_subscribers` tool, detailing who is subscribed to a private podcast.
