Multi-Perspective Market Analysis

You can set up multiple agents to debate a market strategy. One agent runs `get_top_games` and reports findings, while another simultaneously calls `search_channels` based on that list. They then argue over which niche represents the best opportunity. This process forces consensus-driven decision making, giving you recommendations vetted by competing AI viewpoints.

Comprehensive Stream Performance Audits

Use AutoGen to simulate a full performance review. A 'Performance Agent' calls `get_streams` and `get_subscriptions`. A separate 'Risk Agent' then checks the account history using `get_clips` or `get_channel_info`, challenging assumptions about growth potential. It’s not just running tools; it's letting them negotiate a final, robust assessment.

Targeted User Discovery and Strategy

Want to find new targets? Assign one agent to run `get_users` and compile a list of potential contacts. A second 'Strategy Agent' then uses that list to call `get_followed_channels`, finding common ground among the users. They debate who is most reachable. This complex deliberation ensures you don’t just get data; you get actionable, prioritized leads.

Setup guide

Set up Twitch MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Twitch tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Twitch_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Twitch data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Twitch MCP in AutoGen

You pass the MCP tools to the AssistantAgent. The system then lets multiple specialized agents discuss and decide which sequence of calls—like `get_channel_info` followed by `get_clips`—is necessary to reach a consensus goal.
Yes. Instead of one linear audit, you can run competing agents: one checking followers (`get_channel_followers`) and another checking revenue streams (`get_subscriptions`). The final output is a weighted average based on their debate.
It provides strategic, debated conclusions. For instance, it might conclude that while `get_top_games` shows one winner, the user data from `get_users` suggests a better niche to focus on.
It's designed for it. By having agents debate, they naturally run parallel checks—one agent checking live streams while another is gathering historical video data (`get_videos`).
The full scope includes `user` details, channel metadata, streaming activity status, and historical content records like videos and clips.
