Retrieve Form Insights Using MCP Server

`get_form_insights` pulls analytics data for a specific form. Team members can ask the agent to check completion rates or identify drop-off points without leaving VS Code. This is perfect for QA—you get concrete metrics on performance, not just vague status updates.

Manage Form Structures with Typeform

`get_form_details` retrieves the complete structure and metadata for a given form. You can commit this tool to your project's shared config so every developer knows exactly how the data should look. This prevents integration errors because everyone relies on one source of truth about the form schema.

List All Forms and Workspaces via MCP Server

`list_forms` shows all Typeform assets in your account, while `list_workspaces` maps out where those forms live. This centralized listing means new team members can quickly orient themselves. You only need to set up the single `.vscode/mcp.json` file for everyone to access these tools.

Setup guide

Set up Typeform MCP in VS Code Copilot

Prerequisites

  • VS Code 1.99 or later with GitHub Copilot extension
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and run "MCP: Add Server". Select HTTP (Streamable) as the server type. VS Code will create .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace.

  2. 2

    Add the Typeform MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into your .vscode/mcp.json. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Switch to Agent mode

Open Copilot Chat (Cmd+Shift+I / Ctrl+Shift+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode — they do not appear in Edit or Ask modes.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

In the Copilot Chat input, type # to list available tools. You should see the Typeform tools listed. Try asking: "List my recent Typeform transactions" and Copilot will invoke them automatically.
