Specialized GL Accounting Team

Assign one agent to handle the General Ledger. It uses `list_gl_accounts` and `list_daily_journals`. Another specialized agent can then cross-reference this data with inventory using `list_inventory_items`. This role-based system ensures that different parts of the financial task are handled by experts.

Autonomous Vendor Management Team

One agent researches vendor details, calling `list_creditors`. A second agent then checks if those vendors have associated employee contacts using `list_employees`. The entire crew runs autonomously to build a comprehensive vendor profile without manual prompting.

Full Customer Lifecycle Monitoring

Set up a team where Agent A gathers all debtor information (`list_debtors`). Agent B then retrieves specific invoices using `list_debtor_invoices` to analyze payment patterns. The monitor agent watches the session, escalating an alert if any tool fails or if data doesn't meet predefined criteria.

Setup guide

Set up Uniconta MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke Uniconta tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="Uniconta Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze Uniconta data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct Uniconta access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent Uniconta transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)

Common questions about Uniconta MCP in CrewAI

It runs a crew of specialized agents that collaborate. You assign roles—like 'Auditor' or 'Bookkeeper'—and they share memory to complete tasks sequentially or hierarchically.
The server supports querying debtors, creditors, employees, journals, and GL accounts. You're limited only by the tools provided in the MCP Server.
Yes. A monitor agent can watch sessions involving tool calls like `list_debtors` and take action, such as sending an alert if the debtor count is below a threshold.
Since it supports multi-agent workflows, you can build pipelines that process large datasets—like running `list_inventory_items` across many categories and then summarizing the results.
The server touches creditor details, debtor invoices, and employee records. Remember that autonomous operations require strict governance over who accesses these specific financial types of information.
