Connect Vectara MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Vectara to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Grounding Chat Responses
Ask a question and get an answer grounded in your data. The `execute_rag_chat` tool takes corpus keys and your query, returning a summary with specific citations. It keeps you from getting generic answers. This process ensures every response is traceable back to the source material in the specified corpora.
Searching Indexed Data
Need to find data before chatting? Use `perform_semantic_search`. You just list your corpus keys and provide a query text, and it executes a deep search across those datasets. This lets Cascade figure out exactly what you need—it doesn't stop at keywords; it understands the meaning behind your request.
Managing Datasets
Before running anything, check your setup. You can list all available data sources with `list_corpora`, or get deep details on a single one using `get_corpus_details`. If you know exactly what you want, `list_corpus_documents` gives you an inventory of every indexed file within a specific corpus.
