Process media uploads in CI/CD pipelines.

Run a shell script that first calls `create_job` to upload and queue the media file. This works perfectly in GitHub Actions or any Docker container where you need background processing. The resulting job ID is then passed along for subsequent steps.

Check long-running jobs from a cron script.

For scheduled tasks, your Claude Code environment uses `get_job`. This allows the script to poll the MCP Server repeatedly until the transcription job status changes to 'Complete.' It’s reliable background checking that doesn't require manual intervention.

Download transcripts for artifact storage.

Once the pipeline confirms completion, the script executes `get_transcript`. This downloads the final text data directly to a defined output folder or pipes it into another tool. This makes Verbit ideal for automated record-keeping and documentation generation.

Common questions about Verbit MCP in Claude Code

You configure the server connection using flags like `--transport http`. The MCP Server handles authentication via the provided endpoint token, keeping your credentials secure.
Yes. Since Claude Code is terminal-only, it's designed exactly for this. You can run transcription jobs without needing any graphical interface or browser access.
The script will fail at `get_job` and return an error code, alerting you that the process failed. You'll need to review the logs for details on why transcription didn't complete.
Absolutely. The output is structured so it can be easily piped into other CLI tools or used by subsequent commands in your shell script, making the MCP Server a natural fit for DevOps tasks.
The server deals with Media/Transcription Data. This includes both the original uploaded media file and the resulting text transcript records.
