Discovering and Checking Project Configurations

Use `list_projects` to pull a full roster of every project in the account. This gives you an overview before diving deeper into specific settings. You can then drill down with `get_project_details`. It pulls all the configuration data for a single project, letting Cascade read exactly what's needed for the next steps.

Controlling Build Pipelines

Need an update? Running `trigger_github_deployment` kicks off a new build instantly using a specific Git ref and project name. This is how you tell Vercel to redeploy. If the build goes sideways, Cascade can use `list_deployments` to see recent runs. It also lets you halt a bad run immediately by invoking `cancel_active_build`.

Managing Domains and Project Lifecycles

`list_account_domains` shows every high-level apex domain Vercel manages for your account. This is crucial context when setting up new services. For setup, Cascade can `create_project` using a name and framework slug. When you're done with an old service, `delete_project` removes it permanently.

Setup guide

Set up Vercel MCP in Windsurf

Prerequisites

  • Windsurf IDE installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Click the Cascade assistant icon in the sidebar, then click the hammer icon (🔨) at the top of the panel. Select "Configure" to open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

  2. 2

    Add the Vercel MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Refresh MCPs

Go back to the hammer icon (🔨) in Cascade and click "Refresh". Windsurf will detect the new server. No full restart is needed — the connection is hot-reloaded.

  4. 4

    Verify in Cascade

Start a new Cascade conversation and ask something like "Show my Vercel payment history." If connected, Cascade will call the Vercel tools directly. You will see a green dot next to the server name in the MCP panel.
