Connect VesselAPI MCP to Cline

Programmatically Locate Vessels
Write a script that needs real-time boat location? Use `get_vessel_position` to fetch the latest AIS coordinates directly into your code. You can then pipe this data immediately for mapping or logging. Alternatively, you can use `search_vessels` in combination with `list_maritime_ports` if you need to scope your search area before fetching specific details.
Build Scheduling Components
Your goal is a port-call dashboard component? Start by calling `get_vessel_schedules`. This pulls all upcoming ports and dates, which you can then write into your code as structured data. You can also check the general status of the API using `check_api_status` at the start of your build script to ensure the dependency is available.
Audit Vessel Details by IMO
If you're writing a data validation tool, you need specific vessel data. Use `get_vessel_details` and provide an IMO number. Cline executes this API call, returns the structured JSON, and lets you use it immediately to write your component logic. This process is perfect for creating tests that verify data integrity before committing code.
