Create AI Calls with the MCP Server

Use `create_call` to start an AI-powered phone call. You just pass a prompt, a phone number, and the locale in the JSON body. It handles the whole setup process for you. This means you can test conversational flows right from your local machine without needing a full backend service running.

Track Call Status with Claude Desktop

Need to know what happened after the call was made? The `get_call_status` tool checks the current status of any AI conversation. This gives you immediate feedback on whether the call succeeded, failed, or is still in progress. It's useful for building reliable workflows because you can check the outcome right after triggering a call.

Manage Call Templates via MCP Server

The `list_templates` tool shows every available call template. You find out exactly what kind of interactions are possible before you even start building them. Want to initiate a specific interaction, like negotiating a bill? Use `create_call_from_template` to kick off the call using that pre-built structure.

Common questions about Vibrato MCP in Claude Desktop

You add the MCP Server in your Claude Desktop settings under Developer. Since you're running it locally, the stdio transport lets tools run as subprocesses on your machine. Then you can access all its functions directly in chat.
Absolutely. The `list_calls` tool gathers every AI call record. This means you keep a central log of everything that's happened, which is huge for debugging.
The server manages secrets and environment variables securely across your development pipeline. This keeps sensitive connection details locked down while you test your call logic.
No, for local file access like this MCP Server requires, you use the native Desktop App setup path. The web version is designed for remote, publicly reachable servers.
When using `get_call_status`, you are checking the operational state and metadata of the AI call. It doesn't expose the raw conversational audio, just the current status.
