Connect WakaTime (Coding Stats) MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect WakaTime (Coding Stats) to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate Code from Coding History
When you run `list_projects`, Cline gets a list of all projects the user has worked on. You can then feed this data to your agent, telling it to build a dashboard component that visualizes time spent in each project. It also handles `get_stats` calls, allowing your code generation process to pull summarized statistics for specific date ranges and embed those numbers directly into the component's logic.
Track Commits and Time Spent
Use `list_commits` to fetch a list of every commit made on a project, along with the time spent working on that specific change. This is perfect for writing tests that confirm effort allocation. Additionally, calling `list_durations` groups your coding activity into continuous blocks based on keystroke timeouts, giving you reliable data points for version control.
Manage Goals and Rules
Cline can run `list_goals` to check user-defined objectives and their progress. This lets the agent confirm if a feature build meets a stated productivity goal before staging a commit. If you need to clean up data, `list_custom_rules` shows existing modification patterns, letting your agent update them via `update_custom_rules` so future runs are cleaner.
