Connect YouTube MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect YouTube to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write scripts to retrieve channel details
The `get_channel` tool lets you fetch all branding and performance statistics for a YouTube channel. You can write code that accepts this output, letting you pipe the data straight into a database or component. This means your dashboard doesn't just *show* stats; it uses them immediately. Cline makes sure the API call is executed before the rest of your build runs.
Get video metadata for components
You need to build a component that displays every detail about one YouTube video? Use `get_video` to pull full metadata and statistics. This data structure is perfect for typed code, letting you write reliable functions around it. Cline handles the entire process: writing the API call wrapper, importing the data, and showing you the diff for your new component file.
Search YouTube videos into a list
Start by using `search_videos` to return titles and descriptions based on keywords. This is ideal for populating dropdown menus or generating initial data sets within your application. Once the search results are in memory, you can write subsequent steps—like iterating through IDs and calling `get_video` for each one.
