Connect YouTube MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect YouTube to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Querying YouTube Data in Cursor
The `get_channel` tool retrieves all statistics and branding info for a specific YouTube channel. When you write code, your AI client can call this to inject live data—like subscriber count or total views—directly into variables or comments. You're writing a script that needs to check if a partner hit a milestone? Just run `get_channel`. The response is real API data, not mock stubs.
Deep-Diving YouTube Video Metadata
Use `get_video` to pull full metadata, descriptions, and stats for any given YouTube video. This lets your agent build complex code blocks that reference specific details. For instance, you can write a function that analyzes the view count retrieved by this tool and generates an alert if it drops below X threshold.
Searching YouTube Content with Cursor
The `search_videos` tool searches for videos on YouTube using keywords or exact phrases, returning a list of video metadata. Your code can iterate over this list to build comprehensive reports. Instead of having to run multiple manual queries, your agent handles the search and structures the output data directly into your source file.
