Connect Zenodo MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Zenodo to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Manage Deposition Workflows
The `create_deposition` tool lets the AI generate a new deposition context directly in your project. Need to adjust what's already there? Use `edit_deposition` or `update_deposition`. This keeps your data context accurate while you're coding. If you change your mind before committing, don't sweat it. You can use `discard_deposition` to wipe out unsaved edits, letting you start clean code blocks.
Retrieve Zenodo Records for Context
You get immediate context by using the `get_record` tool. When your agent calls this, it pulls live data into the snippet you're writing—not mock stubs. This is key for building applications that rely on real scientific data. Want to check what other records are available? Running `list_records` provides a list of IDs and titles, giving you everything you need to reference in your code.
Upload Files and Track Versions
Uploading source material is simple. Use `upload_deposition_file` to add text files directly into the deposition context. The system handles version control automatically via `new_version_deposition`. You just specify the change, and the code reflects it. Retrieving file lists with `list_deposition_files` helps you write functions that know exactly which assets are attached to a specific record.
