Developing Customer Data Components

Cline lets you create components that pull live data. Use `list_zid_customers` to get the full customer list, then build a typed function around `get_zid_customer` for detail views. You write the component structure; Cline handles importing the API calls and writing the necessary error handling tests.

Building Order Reporting Tools

Need to visualize sales? Start by fetching data with `list_zid_orders`. You can then wrap `get_zid_order` in a service layer that pulls specific order line items for detailed reports. Cline writes the necessary TypeScript or Python code, making sure your component is ready to run against the live room data.

Shop Profile and Product Listings

Write a dashboard widget that displays shop information by calling `get_zid_shop_profile`. For product catalogs, use `list_zid_products` for the list view, then integrate `get_zid_product` to pull individual item specs. Cline takes these API definitions and generates fully typed code components ready for your framework.

Common questions about Zid MCP in Cline

You tell Cline to 'Build a user dashboard.' It will use `list_zid_customers` to pull the list, then write code that integrates `get_zid_customer` for deep dives. You just review and stage the diff.
Yes. Use `list_zid_orders` as your primary data source, then wrap `get_zid_order` into a specific endpoint function. Cline handles the necessary imports and unit tests for that code.
Cline lets you build full inventory components using `list_zid_inventories`. You can then write logic that calls `get_zid_product` to correlate stock levels back to specific items for better visibility.
It does. If you need a component that displays general store information, Cline can use the `get_zid_shop_profile` tool and generate the surrounding code boilerplate for you.
Since this server touches customer details and order records, your generated component must handle sensitive data according to secure coding practices. Always validate input types before calling the underlying API.
