Key Capabilities
Inject GitHub code search directly into Cursor Composer
The `search_github_code` tool lets your Cursor agent find existing utility files across your entire GitHub organization. This server pulls raw source files using `get_file_contents` straight from your GitHub repositories into the Cursor editor. You get immediate context on legacy GitHub files without leaving your Cursor workspace. Cursor reads the GitHub code, maps dependencies, and answers your questions using real-time repository data instead of relying on outdated training weights.
Review active GitHub pull requests inside Cursor
The `list_pull_requests` tool lets you inspect pull requests on GitHub without switching from your Cursor window to a web browser. Use Cursor to inspect what your team is working on right now inside your GitHub repositories. When you find a bug during a Cursor session, tell your agent to run `get_repository_details` to log the exact GitHub branch configuration. Your Cursor agent handles the GitHub pull request analysis, populating the description with the exact context from your editor workspace.
Link Cursor workspace tasks to GitHub issues
The `list_repo_issues` tool lets Cursor pull your assigned tickets directly into the editor chat sidebar from GitHub. This MCP Server lets you audit GitHub issues without manual terminal commands in Cursor. Once the Cursor agent identifies active issues, it can run `create_new_issue` to log new bugs on GitHub. You get a clear summary of which GitHub issues need attention before you open your terminal or leave Cursor.
