Key Capabilities
Team-wide validation in VS Code
Commit your `.vscode/mcp.json` to the repo to ensure every developer on your team uses the same OpenAPI Validator Engine. It turns schema validation into a shared standard for every contributor. Prevent bad specs from entering your codebase. By standardizing the tool, you ensure that everyone gets the same error reports, regardless of their local machine setup.
Automated spec checks during dev
Use `validate_openapi` to check your definitions before pushing code. It flags structural issues that would otherwise cause downstream failures in your CI/CD pipeline. Save your team from wasted engineering hours caused by broken specs. The tool provides a clear path to resolution for every schema error it finds.
Support for all modern API standards
Whether your legacy services use Swagger 2.0 or your new ones use 3.2, this server provides consistent validation. It identifies the spec version and validates against the appropriate ruleset. Maintain high standards across your entire microservice architecture. You get reliable, repeatable checks that keep your API design documentation professional and correct.
