Key Capabilities

Automate your nightly compliance cron jobs

The `list_b2b_transactions` tool fetches all pending wholesale transfers and attached manifests. Claude Code runs this in the background at midnight, piping the output directly into your state reporting pipeline. Before committing the data, your terminal agent calls `list_licenses` to ensure no active transfer involves an expired credential. If it finds a mismatch, it exits with a non-zero status and alerts your pager.

Headless OpenTHC MCP Server audits

The `list_inventory` tool pulls stock quantities, lot numbers, and storage locations across your entire operation. Claude Code executes this endpoint from your CLI to run a silent reconciliation against your internal database. When it detects a discrepancy, the agent queries `list_plants` to trace the missing yield back to its original PIP tag. It generates a formatted text report of the exact variance and dumps it into standard output.

Block bad batches via shell scripts

The `list_lab_results` tool exposes pass/fail determinations and contaminant levels for every batch. You can wire Claude Code into your shipping pipeline to query this endpoint before generating a bill of lading. If a batch fails a heavy metals test, the CLI agent automatically triggers `list_contacts` to find the responsible vendor. It drafts a rejection notice and saves it to your local filesystem, completely headless.

Common questions about OpenTHC MCP in Claude Code

Run claude mcp add --transport http openthc-mcp -- in your terminal. Verify the connection by running claude mcp list.
Yes. You can configure a headless Claude Code instance in your CI/CD pipeline to query list_lab_samples and block deployments if compliance checks fail.
Yes. You can pipe the JSON from list_companies into jq or have the agent format it as a markdown table directly in your shell session.
The CLI catches the timeout and retries the connection based on your script logic. It handles the transport layer errors natively without crashing your broader automation pipeline.
Your proprietary plant genetics and PIP tag histories never leave your secure shell session. The MCP protocol uses ephemeral, stateless connections, guaranteeing your cultivation blueprints evaporate the moment the terminal process ends.
