Key Capabilities

Push Plecto Registrations via CLI

Claude Code triggers `create_data_registration` directly from your shell to log events during deployment pipelines or cron jobs. You can wire up a post-deploy script that automatically credits the engineering team with a successful release in Plecto. No manual dashboard updates required. The CLI agent verifies the target destination using `list_data_sources` and fires the payload, keeping your company scoreboards accurate in real time.

Audit KPI Formulas in the Terminal

You can dump your entire metric logic into the console using `list_formulas` and `list_data_registrations`. When a dashboard looks wrong, Claude Code pulls the raw calculation and the recent inputs to find the discrepancy. Debugging visual dashboards usually means clicking through ten different web menus. This MCP Server lets you grep through the exact formulas and data points right from your SSH session.

Fetch Plecto Teams via MCP Server

Your terminal agent executes `list_account_employees` and `list_organizational_teams` to validate user IDs before running batch updates. If a cron job fails because an employee left, Claude Code can pinpoint the missing ID immediately. It grabs specific user details using `get_employee` to ensure your automated scripts are assigning metrics to active accounts. Bad data gets caught at the command line before it ever hits the main dashboard.

Common questions about Plecto MCP in Claude Code

Run the standard add command with the HTTP transport flag. Make sure you put all flags before the server name.
Yes. The CLI operates headlessly, meaning you can trigger registration pushes or dashboard audits as part of your standard workflow.
Ask the CLI to run the widget listing tool against a specific dashboard ID. It will return the full JSON layout directly to stdout.
You can fetch existing entries using the specific get tools, provided you have the exact ID on hand.
Vinkius handles the authentication layer entirely off-machine. Claude Code only receives the specific employee names and team structures you request, and the ephemeral server drops the connection the second your terminal process exits.
