Key Capabilities

Automate record updates in Windsurf

Cascade doesn't just read data; it acts. When you need to sync information, it executes `get_app_schema` to understand the structure and follows up with `update_record` to finalize the change. This MCP Server lets the agent handle the heavy lifting. You define the goal and watch the tool chain execute the sequence in real-time.

Real-time workflow tracking

Windsurf can monitor your operational health by calling `get_workflow_status`. It flags bottlenecks before they impact your delivery timeline. Instead of manual checks, you get a clear view of your active processes. Cascade maps the state transitions so you stay informed without switching tabs.

Data discovery at your fingertips

Quickly pull specific records using `list_data` or browse your active applications via `list_apps`. The agent indexes your workspace to find exactly what you need. Everything happens inside your IDE. You spend less time searching for IDs and more time applying changes.

Setup guide

Set up QingFlow MCP in Windsurf

Prerequisites

  • Windsurf IDE installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP configuration

Click the Cascade assistant icon in the sidebar, then click the hammer icon (🔨) at the top of the panel. Select "Configure" to open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

  2. 2

    Add the QingFlow MCP

Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Refresh MCPs

Go back to the hammer icon (🔨) in Cascade and click "Refresh". Windsurf will detect the new server. No full restart is needed — the connection is hot-reloaded.

  4. 4

    Verify in Cascade

Start a new Cascade conversation and ask something like "Show my QingFlow payment history." If connected, Cascade will call the QingFlow tools directly. You will see a green dot next to the server name in the MCP panel.

Common questions about QingFlow MCP in Windsurf

Open your Cascade settings and navigate to the MCP Servers panel. You can add the server configuration directly there or use the built-in marketplace for a faster setup.
Yes. Cascade chains the tools automatically. If you ask it to change a record, it will fetch the schema, pull the current data, and apply the update in one go.
No. The MCP Server only passes data through the secure connection during your session. Your records remain on the QingFlow platform, and no persistent data is kept in your IDE.
Windsurf reports the error immediately in the chat window. You can review the trace and ask the agent to retry or adjust the parameters.
Your QingFlow endpoint token is stored locally in your config file. It is used only to authenticate requests between your agent and the server.
