Key Capabilities

Run Headless Route Calculations with this MCP Server

This MCP Server exposes `calculate_route_distance` and `calculate_routing_matrix` directly to your terminal. You can query travel times between coordinate pairs, pipe the JSON output to other CLI tools, or generate quick reports on delivery efficiency. This is built for terminal workflows. Instead of writing wrapper scripts, you ask your terminal agent to calculate distances and it executes the API calls, formats the output, and saves the results to a local file.

Bulk Geocode Addresses from the CLI

Claude Code uses `forward_geocode` and `reverse_geocode` to process location lists in batch. You can feed a raw CSV of addresses to the agent and have it append exact latitudes and longitudes without opening a browser. The agent handles the file parsing, manages the API rate limits, and writes the geocoded coordinates back to your data store.

Inspect Geofences and Places

Query nearby venues and active boundaries using `search_places` and `get_location_context`. The agent retrieves the metadata for any coordinate, helping you debug location-based logic directly from your shell. You get instant visibility into what geofences are triggered at a specific point, making it easy to troubleshoot routing bugs or boundary overlaps without logging into a web dashboard.

Setup guide

Set up Radar MCP in Claude Code

Prerequisites

  • Claude Code CLI installed (npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Run the add command

Open your terminal and run the command shown on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com. Use --scope user to make it available across all projects.

  2. 2

    Verify the connection

Start a Claude Code session and type /mcp to list connected servers. You should see radar-mcp with a green status indicator.

  3. 3

    Start using tools

Ask Claude Code something like "Check my latest Radar transactions." It will automatically discover and invoke the available Radar tools.

Common questions about Radar MCP in Claude Code

Run the claude mcp add command with the HTTP transport flag to link the server to your terminal environment.
Yes, Claude Code calls `reverse_geocode` to turn raw coordinates into readable street addresses directly inside your terminal session.
The agent invokes `ip_geocode` to resolve geographic details from an IP address, letting you quickly trace routing issues or check regional configurations.
Yes. You can tell the agent to run `validate_address` on your database records to fix formatting errors and verify delivery details.
Yes. All IP addresses and delivery coordinates processed by the tool are handled in secure, ephemeral V8 isolates that destroy the session data immediately after the API call completes.
