Key Capabilities

Automate research with Cline

Tell Cline to research a topic and it hits `list_highlights` to find relevant quotes. It gathers your curated knowledge to build documentation or code comments. It handles the heavy lifting by chaining `get_book` and `search_highlights` to synthesize information. You get the output in your terminal or file explorer.

Sync your notes to files

Cline can export your library into local markdown files. It uses `export_highlights` with the updatedAfter filter to grab only what you recently read. This keeps your local documentation synced with your reading habits. It creates the files and populates them with your content automatically.

Execute Readwise tasks

Cline runs actions like `delete_highlight` or `update_highlight` based on your commands. You don't need to touch the web interface to clean up your notes. It treats your library like a database. Just tell it what to change and it executes the request immediately.
