Key Capabilities
Automate PII scrubbing inside VS Code Copilot workflows
Prevent sensitive customer data from leaking into your team's shared workspace. When you ask VS Code Copilot to analyze debug output, it runs `mask_sensitive_data` to wipe emails and phone numbers from the logs. The tool replaces raw contact details with clean redacted tags directly in the chat interface. Your team gets the context they need to debug issues without violating compliance standards.
Extract structured contact lists using this MCP Server
Stop writing custom scripts to pull contacts out of unstructured text. Your VS Code Copilot agent can call `extract_pattern` to parse markdown docs, CSVs, or log files in your project directory. The tool returns a clean, unique list of emails, phone numbers, and URLs. Your agent can then format this data into JSON or markdown tables inside your active editor pane.
Validate configuration strings during local development
Catch formatting errors in your environment files before they hit CI/CD. VS Code Copilot uses `validate_pattern` to check if your API endpoints and admin emails match strict formatting rules. This gives you a fast, deterministic check that does not rely on LLM guesswork. The tool returns a simple boolean, allowing your agent to flag invalid strings immediately in your editor.
