Key Capabilities

Feed Reportei metrics to Google ADK pipelines

This MCP Server uses the `get_reportei_metrics` tool to connect your Gemini-powered enterprise agents to live marketing data from Google, Facebook, and Instagram. Having direct access to raw metrics means you can skip manual CSV exports entirely. You can easily pipe these metrics into BigQuery or use them to ground your Vertex AI models. The agent uses `list_reportei_projects` to keep track of which data streams belong to which enterprise client.

Generate reports inside long-context reasoning loops

The `create_report` tool allows your agent to generate formatted reports, while `get_report_details` pulls the granular details back into Gemini's massive context window. Large-scale marketing analysis often requires processing months of campaign history. Since Gemini models handle over a million tokens, you can feed entire report histories returned by `list_reportei_reports` into a single prompt. This allows the agent to spot long-term performance trends across multiple quarters without losing context.

Track project timelines and milestones on Google Cloud

Your agent uses the MCP Server to run `add_reportei_event` to write custom milestones directly back to the Reportei timeline. Keeping client timelines updated is critical for enterprise marketing operations. To verify these updates, the agent can call `list_reportei_timeline` to fetch the complete chronological history of a project. This ensures your Google ADK agent remains the single source of truth for client interactions.

Setup guide

Set up Reportei MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Reportei tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Reportei_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Reportei tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Reportei MCP in Google ADK

Import McpToolset from the SDK and configure it with your Vinkius HTTP endpoint. Pass the toolset object directly into your LlmAgent constructor to expose tools like `create_report` and `list_clients`.
Yes, the agent can use the `add_reportei_event` tool to add custom milestones or events. This is useful for logging when an automated optimization run has been completed on Google Cloud.
Yes, you can use the tool_names parameter when initializing your McpToolset to restrict access. For instance, you can expose only `get_reportei_metrics` and block report generation tools.
The server fetches paginated data through tools like `list_reportei_reports`. Because Gemini has a large context window, you can pass these large payloads directly to the model for deep analysis.
All API credentials for your marketing channels are managed securely by Vinkius, meaning your Google ADK agent never sees raw API keys. The MCP Server only transmits the requested metrics over HTTPS, keeping your client data isolated.
