Key Capabilities
Execute end-to-end chat tasks in Cline
Cline uses these tools to perform live actions within your workspace. It executes `list_public_channels` to find where to drop a report and then pushes it with `chat_send_message`. You tell it to announce a build success, and it handles the rest. It doesn't just draft the text; it sends the notification directly to the specified room.
Sync workspace state with Cline
Keep your documentation current by querying `get_channel_info` or `list_users` whenever you start a new task. Cline verifies the data before acting. It avoids errors by checking the directory first. If a user isn't found, Cline stops before attempting to send a direct message, saving you from failed API calls.
Clean up communications via Cline
Cline manages your workspace hygiene by using `chat_delete_message`. It cleans up old alerts or incorrect command outputs as part of its automated cleanup routine. You define the criteria for what needs to be removed. Cline finds the message ID and executes the deletion once the condition is met.
