Key Capabilities
Automate channel management in Windsurf
Cascade reads your workspace structure to identify active discussions. It uses `list_public_channels` and `list_private_groups` to map out where your team is talking. You can ask Windsurf to find specific threads or monitor channel activity. It pulls context directly into your editor using `get_channel_info` without you switching windows.
Direct message and update control
Your agent posts updates directly to your team workspace using `chat_post_message`. It manages the flow of information during a build or deployment task. Updating existing logs is simple with `chat_update_message`. When a task changes status, your agent edits the original post instead of flooding the channel with new noise.
Manage user and message data
The MCP server lets Cascade look up contact details via `get_user_info`. You get immediate access to the right people for code reviews or status checks. Cleaning up is handled through `chat_delete_message`. You can remove outdated notifications or sensitive accidental posts immediately through the chat interface.
