Key Capabilities
Automated issue resolution in Cline
The `update_task` tool allows Cline to modify active frontline work orders based on your local code changes. When you commit a bug fix, Cline runs this tool to change the Sally task status and keep the field workers informed. It also uses `add_comment` to explain the technical fix to the Sally mobile team. Cline handles this entire Sally loop without you opening a browser or writing manual updates.
Syncing code milestones with the Sally MCP Server
The `create_project` tool lets Cline set up new mobile workspaces on Sally whenever you spin up a new repository. Cline reads your local config files, maps out the required phases, and builds the matching project structure on the frontline platform. It then populates the Sally workspace by executing `create_task` for each initial milestone. This guarantees that your deskless crew and your development team stay aligned inside Cline from day one.
Direct timesheet reporting inside your IDE
The `get_timesheet_report` tool gives Cline direct access to hours logged by your field staff in Sally. If you ask Cline to verify project costs, it pulls this report and calculates the dev-to-field cost ratio instantly. Cline combines this with Sally project details from `get_project` to generate markdown summaries. You get a clear picture of frontline labor costs right inside your Cline VS Code sidebar.
