Key Capabilities

Debating Subscription Logic with MCP Server

The `get_subscription` tool feeds the current billing status into your agent debate. One agent might argue that a customer needs a discount, while another uses the data to confirm if they're eligible for it. This consensus process ensures the final decision—like sending an upsell message—is backed by concrete subscription details.

Agent-driven Application Creation

When a new client needs setup, the `create_application` tool starts the process. Your multi-agent system can then debate whether it's necessary to call `get_application` immediately or if more data is needed first. This allows for complex decision trees where agents challenge each other on resource usage and workflow order.

Webhooks Dispute Resolution with AutoGen

Agents can debate which webhooks are necessary. You use `list_webhooks` to show the full list of available endpoints, allowing one agent (the security expert) to flag unused ones while another suggests new required triggers. This turns a simple listing into a robust architectural review.

Setup guide

Set up Sharpei MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Sharpei tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Sharpei_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Sharpei data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Sharpei MCP in AutoGen

AutoGen agents can debate the best billing strategy. By calling `get_subscription`, they get real-time data points that force a consensus on whether to promote an annual plan or offer monthly flexibility.
Yes. The framework is built for this. You can feed results from tools like `list_webhooks` and `get_document` into the agent pool, allowing multiple agents to independently review different data sources.
The `get_verification_status` tool feeds objective truth into your debate. Agents can argue about the *implications* of that status, rather than just accepting it as fact.
It is. Using tools like `list_applications` gives all agents a single source of truth regarding client records, stopping arguments based on outdated or guessed data.
This server handles application documents. When running agent debates, the agents must respect the confidentiality of these document details, only exposing what's necessary for a final decision.
