Key Capabilities

Coordinating App Lifecycle Management

Set up a team where Agent A calls `list_applications` to gather all app IDs. Agent B then takes those IDs and runs `get_application` on each one. This collaborative approach ensures every piece of data is checked by specialized roles in the crewai framework.

Automating Webhook Audits

Assign a dedicated agent to manage webhooks. This agent uses `list_webhooks` to get an inventory, and another agent checks each hook's status using `get_verification_status`. It’s autonomous monitoring—no human intervention needed for the audit.

Multi-Step Resource Fetching

You can build a workflow that first runs `list_subscriptions` to identify all active subscriptions. A second agent then uses those list results and calls `get_subscription` on critical accounts, building a complete report.

Setup guide

Set up Sharpei MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke Sharpei tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="Sharpei Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze Sharpei data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct Sharpei access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent Sharpei transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)

Common questions about Sharpei MCP in CrewAI

It assigns tasks to multiple agents at once. You can have Agent A run `check_sharpei_status` while Agent B simultaneously calls `list_applications`. The collaboration speeds up resource gathering.
Yes. You can define a sequence: Agent 1 uses `create_application`, and when that task is done, it passes the resulting ID to Agent 2, which calls `get_document`.
It does. You can set up a 'System Auditor' agent whose sole job is running `list_applications`, `list_subscriptions`, and `list_webhooks` sequentially to build a complete inventory.
You can create an 'Information Retrieval' agent. This agent uses `get_documents` to list available records, and then another agent executes `get_document` for specific IDs.
You'll be working with `subscription` records. The agents can work together: one lists them via `list_subscriptions`, and another pulls granular data via `get_subscription`.
