Key Capabilities

Automated Report Generation

Your SRE can script the `get_report` tool to pull a summary of compliance data for scheduled reports. This works perfectly in a cron job or GitHub Action, generating files without needing any GUI. It compiles general metrics alongside specific findings like total emissions and impact profile summaries. It’s pure output, no fluff.

Manage Account Details

Before making a change, you need to know the starting point. Use `get_account` to pull user details—like account IDs or current credit balances—directly into your script’s variables. This ensures that every transaction, whether it's logging emissions or purchasing offsets, is properly attributed.

Listing and Analyzing Emissions Data

To audit usage, you can combine `list_categories` with `get_emissions_by_category`. This lets your script loop through every defined category to pull granular data points. This provides the necessary input for custom scripts that need to calculate departmental or regional impacts.

Common questions about SkootEco MCP in Claude Code

SkootEco allows you to automate sustainability tracking. You run commands from the terminal to pull, log, and report on emissions data for compliance.
You write a script that first checks current metrics with `get_emissions`, determines the required offsets, and then executes `purchase_offset` via the terminal transport layer.
The system handles multiple scopes. You use `get_emissions_by_scope` to pull data segmented by Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
Run the `check_skooteco_status` command. A successful return code means your pipeline can confidently proceed with data fetching and transactions.
The server tracks emissions, impact profiles (`get_impact_profile`), tree counts (`get_tree_count`), and total offset purchases. All accessible via command.
