Key Capabilities

Write Code Using the MCP Server

The AI agent can call `get_submission` and inject the resulting JSON directly into the function you're writing. You don't get mock data; you get real form entries, which is critical for testing. Need to process a batch of records? Use `list_submissions_by_key`. This lets your code iterate over submissions that belong to one specific form key.

Validate Form Status in Cursor

Before writing integration logic, you need to know the current state. Call `check_snipform_status` to verify connectivity first. This prevents build errors later. You can also use `list_keys` early on to ensure your code handles all existing forms. It’s a good practice for setting up global scope variables.

Export Form Data from Cursor

If you need to write a script that processes millions of records, `export_submissions` is what you call. This pulls the data out in a format your code can consume easily. Don't forget about analytics; `get_form_analytics` lets your agent pull metrics directly into your codebase for reporting.

Setup guide

Set up SnipForm MCP in Cursor

Prerequisites

  • Cursor installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP Settings

Go to Cursor Settings → MCP or open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for "MCP: Add Server".

  2. 2

    Add the SnipForm MCP

Cursor will create or open .cursor/mcp.json in your project root. Paste the JSON snippet on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Enable Agent mode

Open Composer (Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown at the top. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

Ask Cursor something like "List my recent SnipForm transactions." If the MCP tools are loaded correctly, Cursor will call the SnipForm tools automatically. You can also check Settings → MCP for a green status indicator.

Common questions about SnipForm MCP in Cursor

When the AI calls a tool, it gets a live API response. This real JSON output is then inserted directly into your code block, letting you work with actual form entries immediately.
It depends on scope. Use `list_submissions` if you need everything from all forms. But if your code is focused on a single form, `list_submissions_by_key` is much more efficient.
Yes. You can use the `list_spam` tool to retrieve records marked as spam. This lets your code build specific logic for filtering or reporting on those entries.
You call `delete_key`. The MCP Server handles the deletion cleanly, and you can immediately run `get_account` afterward to confirm that the form structure is gone from your account view.
The server touches submission metadata and raw user entries. When you call `get_submission`, you're accessing the specific form entries created by users.
