Key Capabilities
Automate Time Tracking Reports
Give Windsurf a high-level goal, like creating a weekly timesheet report. Its Cascade agent gets to work, first using `list_timeghost_projects` and `list_timeghost_tasks` to map out all the available work inside your account. Next, Cascade chains that context to the next step. It can find a specific team member with `list_timeghost_members` and then pull a complete, filtered report of their hours using `list_timeghost_entries`. You don't have to prompt each step; it just figures it out.
Drill Down into Project Details with Windsurf
Stop digging for records manually. Just ask Windsurf to 'get the latest on the Q3-API-Refactor project,' and it will invoke `get_timeghost_project` to fetch the main record instantly. Because Cascade understands context, it won't stop there. It can see you might also need related task info or a specific time log, so it will proactively use `get_timeghost_task` or `get_timeghost_entry` to give you the full picture. You get the answer you need in one shot.
Manage Workspaces and Clients
Before you can bill hours, you need to know where you're working. Have the Cascade agent run `list_timeghost_workspaces` to see all available environments right from your editor. From there, it can fetch a complete client roster using `list_timeghost_clients` so you can confirm you're logging time against the right account. The agent can even run `check_timeghost_status` first to make sure the MCP server is connected and ready to go.
