Inspect live 4D database catalogs in Cline
`get_catalog` exposes your entire 4D table layout directly to the VS Code sidebar. Cline reads this schema to understand relationships and field types before generating any code. This means the agent doesn't write broken queries. It knows the exact primary keys and data types, allowing it to build perfect UI integrations on its first attempt.
Fetch 4D records using this MCP Server
`list_entities` retrieves structured tables using native ORDA parameters like filter and orderby. Cline executes these queries to populate your local workspace with real-time test data. You can ask Cline to build a dashboard, and it will fetch raw data, write the components, and verify the layout. It bridges the gap between your backend database and frontend files.
Modify 4D table entities autonomously in Cline
`create_entity`, `update_entity`, and `delete_entity` handle direct database mutations from your workspace. Cline formats the JSON payloads and runs these operations to sync your database with local code changes. The agent verifies each operation by reading the database response. If a record fails to update, Cline analyzes the schema constraints and corrects the payload instantly.
