How to Use the Agora MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf's Cascade agent manage your Agora projects, from creating new channels to monitoring active calls, all on its own.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Agora MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Agora to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automate Project and Usage Reporting
Give Cascade a goal, like 'Get me the usage stats for all active projects.' It will automatically chain `list_projects` and then `get_usage_stats` for each one. You don't have to prompt it step-by-step. This works for any multi-step task. Cascade can `create_project`, get its details with `get_project_details`, and then list active whiteboard rooms using `list_whiteboard_rooms`, presenting you with the final result without any nagging.
Hands-Free Cloud Recording with Your MCP Server
Starting a recording is more than one step. With Windsurf, you just tell Cascade to 'record the main channel.' It knows to first `acquire_cloud_recording` to get a resource ID, then `start_cloud_recording` with that ID. Later, you can ask it to check on things with `query_cloud_recording` or end the session with `stop_cloud_recording`. Cascade handles the state and dependencies between calls, so you don't have to.
Monitor Live Sessions from Your IDE
Need to see what's happening right now? Ask Windsurf to show you all ongoing calls. Cascade will run `list_active_calls` and format the output right in your editor. This isn't just a static data dump. You can build on it. Ask a follow-up like 'Check the recording status for the first call' and Cascade will use the context to run `query_cloud_recording` on the correct channel.
