How to Use the Apache APISIX MCP in Cursor
Build and debug your infrastructure using Apache APISIX tools inside Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Apache APISIX MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Apache APISIX to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live gateway data into Cursor
Stop guessing what your routes look like. The agent uses `get_route` to fetch live configuration and writes the necessary code based on the actual JSON schema. You get accurate, working code snippets that match your production setup. No more stale documentation or manual copy-pasting from the dashboard.
Manage consumers via Cursor Agent
Update your API consumers without leaving the editor. Simply tell the agent to `put_consumer` and it handles the payload construction for you. This keeps your infra-as-code synced with your gateway. You can verify the changes by running `list_consumers` right in the chat.
Debug upstream issues in Cursor
Use `get_control_healthcheck` to identify failing nodes during a coding session. You see exactly which upstreams are down before you start writing fix code. The agent uses this data to suggest routing changes or circuit breaker updates. It connects your code directly to the health of your gateway.
