Asana MCP Server for Cline
This MCP Server equips your coding agent with full read and write access to your project management backend. Cline starts by calling `get_me` to verify its connection and then scopes out your environment with `list_workspaces`. From there, it maps your entire board structure. The agent runs `list_projects` followed by `list_sections` to understand exactly where new work belongs. You never have to explain your column layout.
Automated Ticket Resolution
When you finish coding a feature, this server handles the paperwork automatically. It searches for the relevant ticket using `search_tasks` and pulls the current status with `get_task`. Once it confirms the ticket details, the agent modifies the record using `update_task`. It moves the item to your completed section and updates the metadata to reflect the finished pull request.
Context-Driven Development
Stop copying and pasting bug reports into your editor because this integration pulls the raw user complaints directly. Cline fires `list_stories` on a specific task ID to dump the issue into your workspace. It reads the entire activity feed to understand the problem. If it needs to break the work down, the agent uses `create_task` to generate subtasks for each component it plans to build.
