Connect Asana MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Asana to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Windsurf MCP Server for Asana Setup
Connecting this MCP Server gives Cascade direct access to your Asana workspaces. Your agent uses `list_workspaces` to find the right environment, then calls `list_projects` to pull your active project IDs without you needing to switch tabs. Once it has the layout, Cascade can autonomously map out your sprint. It grabs existing tickets with `list_tasks` and checks their status via `list_sections`.
Autonomous Task Generation
This MCP integration lets Cascade chain multiple tools to turn a simple request into a populated project board. You tell it to draft a launch plan, and it immediately uses `create_task` to generate the parent items. It doesn't stop there. The agent applies relevant labels using `list_tags` and assigns metadata to keep everything organized. If a step needs adjusting, it calls `update_task` to fix the details right on the spot.
Deep Context Retrieval
This server lets Windsurf pull the full history of a feature request before writing a single line of code. It runs `search_tasks` to find specific bug reports and pulls the exact ticket details with `get_task`. To understand the conversation history, the agent triggers `list_stories`. This grabs all the comments, status changes, and activity feeds attached to that task. Your editor now knows exactly what the product manager asked for.
