Connect Ask Kodiak MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Ask Kodiak to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Code with Real Insurance Data
This MCP Server connects Cursor's agent to the Ask Kodiak API. Instead of writing code with placeholder data, you can have the agent call `get_product` and insert the actual JSON response for an insurance policy directly into your editor. This means the code you write is already tested against the live API structure. Use `list_products` to find a policy, then `get_product` to fetch its full details. Your agent builds the API call and uses the real response.
Automate Industry Classification
When you're building logic around business types, you need the right codes. Ask Cursor's agent to find classifications with `list_classifications` or get suggestions with `suggest_naics`. The agent doesn't just show you the codes; it can write the code that uses them. For instance, you can ask it to generate a function that takes a business description and returns the top NAICS code suggestion from Ask Kodiak.
Your Ask Kodiak MCP Server in Cursor
Connecting this server is simple. Add it to your `mcp.json` file, and Cursor's agent immediately gets access to all seven Ask Kodiak tools. You can instantly check your setup with the `get_account_check` tool. This confirms the agent can talk to the Ask Kodiak API, so you can start pulling carrier lists with `list_companies` and product info without any friction.
