Connect Azure Cognitive Search MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Azure Cognitive Search to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Extract exact documents to generate test mocks
The `get_document` tool retrieves a single document from your Azure index using its exact UUID. Cline uses this tool to inspect the real-world schema of your search payloads. Once the agent gets the document, it writes mock data files and unit tests based on the actual production structure. You get realistic tests without writing boilerplate JSON by hand.
Build UI components with live index schemas
The `get_index` tool pulls the complete metadata and schema definition of a specific Azure Cognitive Search index. Cline reads this schema to understand which fields are filterable, sortable, or searchable. With this structural knowledge, the agent writes your React or Vue components with accurate prop types. It eliminates runtime errors caused by mismatched field names.
Query indexes directly from the Cline MCP Server
The `search_documents` tool runs full-text lexical queries against your active Azure indexes. Cline executes these searches using the MCP protocol to verify that the code it just wrote retrieves the expected search results. This loop lets the agent test its own implementation. If a query fails, Cline analyzes the error, adjusts the search parameters, and runs the query again until it works.
