Connect BallotReady MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect BallotReady to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Code with Live District Data
BallotReady translates raw addresses into actionable civic data through `get_districts_by_address`. While you build a voter registration app, Cursor calls this tool to inject real API responses into your test suites. Working with mock civic boundaries always leads to production bugs. Agent mode pulls actual district IDs so you can write parsing logic that handles the weird edge cases of American gerrymandering.
Automate Candidate Pages
BallotReady fetches politician details instantly via `list_candidates` and `get_candidate`. Your IDE grabs the real JSON payload for a local race and writes the TypeScript interfaces to match it perfectly. Developers waste hours reading API docs to figure out field names. Cursor just hits the endpoint, looks at the actual data structure, and generates the UI components for you.
Cursor MCP Server Integration
Connecting this MCP Server gives your editor direct access to `list_positions` and `get_officeholders`. When you need to populate a dropdown menu of available elected offices, your agent queries the live database. Hardcoding political offices is a terrible idea because seats change constantly. You get dynamic, accurate data injected right where your cursor is blinking.
