Let Cline write code based on Basecamp todo lists
Cline doesn't just look at your VS Code workspace; it reads your actual Basecamp assignments. The Cline agent calls `list_todolists` to find what features your team expects you to build next in Basecamp. Once it grabs the active tasks using `list_todos`, Cline writes the corresponding components and tests locally. It finishes the Basecamp ticket requirements without you copying text back and forth.
Gather team requirements via this MCP Server
Stop digging through browser tabs to find Basecamp design decisions. Cline runs `list_messages` to pull down the specifications your product manager posted on the Basecamp message board. The agent matches those written requirements directly with your Cline code structure. It ensures your implementation matches the exact specs discussed in your team's Basecamp project workspace.
Track developer discussions inside VS Code
Cline monitors Basecamp project context by querying `list_campfire_lines` through the MCP interface. It spots quick decisions or API changes your team discussed in the Basecamp chat room. If a teammate post changes a database schema, your Cline agent catches it. By using `list_people`, the agent identifies who made the change so you know exactly who to ask in Basecamp.
